Today we had no formal or subcommittee meetings. However, we did receive a response from the company to our request to cease work completing Term employees until we had finished bargaining the issues around converting them to regular employees. The company refused to cease work completing Terms (most notably term Splicers associated with Project Lightspeed) saying that there was insufficient work to keep them on the payroll. Join the AT&T National Unity e-Meeting Thursday, April 23 at 6 pm PDT with CWA President Larry Cohen and Executive Vice President Annie Hill You must register in advance at www.cwaunion.tv. After registering, you will be able to submit questions you would like addressed during the meeting. Please share this information with your fellow members. We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to be involved. Keep the pressure on! The company is feeling the heat, but we must convince them that they must change course and negotiate a fair and just contract.
