Bargaining Bulletin #38
Tuesday, April 14, 2009
Your Committee met today in both formal session and in sub-committee. In the formal session we received 49 pages of responses to some of our questions. The company said they were “still working” on the rest of our previous questions. We made an additional information request. The company has still made no improvement in their previous proposals. The Premises Technician sub-committee met and continued to work on these very important issues.

Union “asking” questions,
company “not” responding,
tell me again how our MOBILIZING IS WORKING . sounds like the members are the only ones doing anything. A wise man told me that it is easier to argue if you have the money in your pocket. Since “we” have made the co. $12.9 , then lets take the money out of the companies pocket and STRIKE, then the union might get thier questions answered a little faster.
How is 49 pages of responses “not responding?”
How old are the questions that were not responded to?
Can we be told what the “additional information request” that the Union made?
If necessary the time will come. Right now we have a work action of refusing overtime that IS working! The company has forced all first mile techs into the I&R load, and just canvassed for volunteers throughout the state to come to Bakersfield because the load is too much for them to bear! Do you really think they want us to walk now, with all the work backed up? Get on board and stay informed, MOBILIZING IS WORKING! If we stay united we should soon have our contract, and hopefully never have to strike!
It is time to let the ceo, cfo, coo and all the cs know that we are the driving force of the company. when the time come, we park the truck if that is necessary in order to have to have a fair and just contract.
