1 Union 1 Fight 1 Future
Today we met with the Company in formal and subcommittee meetings. The subcommittee is addressing Article 2 Employment Security and all Movement processes. In formal session the Union rejected the Company proposals on the following. Leveraged Titles, letting the Company set and change at their discretion incentives. The elimination of Local and National agreements regarding Overtime and proposing they would assign our members and not seek volunteers. We proposed an additional 401K improvement that would allow for immediate implementation of a non-spousal roll over provision, Company wide recognition for all prior service with any AT&T company. We also proposed moving appendices B and D into Appendix A. The Company continues to want TAKE AWAYS today they proposed to eliminate the right to carry over vacations and if you haven’t scheduled by June they will schedule your vacation for you. They want to pay shift differential only for the hours worked after 7pm and prior to 6am. They want to cancel all Monitoring Agreements and propose a new agreement that covers all employees except Operator Services. They want a new Pay for Performance MOA that allows them unilaterally to set and change incentives for all employees regarding sales, service, productivity or any other measurement they can think of. The next formal session is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2009. Remember tomorrow is National Healthcare Day.
